AnielaHi, I am Aniela Lama, the face behind Anla Explores. I believe that every nook and corner of the world has a story to tell, and every person carries their own cherished narrative—be it a life story, a personal incident, a career milestone, a relationship, or just about anything meaningful. My passion lies in bringing those stories to life through the lens of my camera.
Originally from Nepal, the land of majestic Himalayas and rich culture, I never imagined I would embark on this journey until I decided to pack my bags and travel across seven seas to study in the beautiful country of Canada. I arrived in May 2024 and enrolled in the Broadcasting Performance and Digital Media program at Conestoga College. This program has been incredibly fulfilling, equipping me with the skills necessary to thrive as a journalist, broadcaster, and visual storyteller. I learned the ins and outs of working both behind and in front of the camera, mastering the pre- and post-production processes—and I fell in love with it.
As part of my Capstone project, I had the opportunity to showcase my learnings by capturing stories. I chose to feature four inspiring women in the Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge areas who are thriving in their professions. The entire experience was transformative, and my videos were even featured by CCDTv, the college’s official television channel. I’ll never forget my program coordinator’s heartwarming words: “Don’t stop creating these videos!” That encouragement inspired me to start Anla Explores.
I am in love with anything creative, it drives me from within and gives meaning to my life and not only makes me who I am as a professional but also as a human being. Apart from videography, my passion also lies within photography and professional voiceovers. I have done like hundreds of them and I still cannot get enough! Through Anla Explores, I am dedicated to telling your stories and presenting them to the audience in whichever way you want it to be presented.
As a one-person army, I handle every aspect of the visual storytelling process. I sit down with you to understand which aspects of your story you wish to highlight. From there, I work diligently to bring your narrative to life through video. I will be the one to shoot, capture, edit, and ultimately present your story.
